January Transfers Overview

This January transfer window was one of the busiest/best January in football with big money signings galore so I'm going to list every transfer (in the EPL) and rate them out of 10 and give my opinions on a select few.( if the rating is ?/10 it means i don't know anything about the player.)

Arsenal:
Ryo Miyaichi (Chukyodai Chuyko High School, Undisclosed) ?/10

Aston Villa:
Darren Bent (Sunderland, £18m rising to £24m) 9/10 a player with undoubted quality but i feel Villa have paid over the odds
Jean Makoun (Lyon, £6m) 7/10
Kyle Walker (Tottenham, Loan) 7/10
Michael Bradley (B Moenchengladbach, Loan) ?/10

Birmingham City:
Obafemi Martins (Rubin Kazan, Loan) 8/10
Curtis Davies (Aston Villa, £3.5m) 6/10
David Bentley (Tottenham, Loan) 9/10 amazing signing by blues he will give them everything they lacked pace,crossing and skill




Blackburn Rovers:
Roque Santa Cruz (Manchester C, Loan) 8/10
Jermaine Jones (Schalke, Loan) ?/10
Ruben Rochina (Barcelona, Loan) 7/10
Mauro Formica (Newell's OB, £3.5m) 7/10

Blackpool:
James Beattie (Rangers, Loan) 8/10 will give campbell great suppourt up front and will make blackpool more of a EPL team
Salaheddine Sbai (Nimes, Loan) ?/10
Andy Reid (Sunderland, £1m) 7/10
Sergei Kornilenko (Zenit St Petersburg, Undisclosed) ?/10

Bolton Wanderer:
Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea, Loan) 8/10 will give bolton what they needed pace
David Wheater (Middlesbrough, £2.3m) 7/10

Chelsea:
David Luiz (Benfica, £18m rising to £23m) 7/10
Fernando Torres (Liverpool, £50m) 7/10 one of the main talking points of the window and the new English transfer record, but i feel chelsea will regret this soon..

Everton:
Apostolos Vallios (Iraklis Thessalonoki, £215,000) ?/10
Eric Dier (Sporting Lisbon, Loan) ?/10

Fulham:
Steve Sidwell (Aston Villa, £500,000) 6/10 didn't do well for villa and fulham are nearly the same as villa, cant see him doing well
Gael Kakuta (Chelsea, Loan) 6/10 good young player but im not sure if he can cut it in the EPL yet
Eidur Gudjohnson (Stoke, Loan) 7/10

Liverpool:
Andy Carroll (Newcastle, £35m) 7/10 another big taking point,he is a good player but i have a feeling he will flop at anfield and become a bench warmer
Conor Thomas (Coventry, Loan) ?/10
Yusuf Mersin (Millwall, Undisclosed) ?/10
Luis Suarez (Ajax, £22.8m) 8/10 risk of being a flop but i highly doubt it

Manchester City:
Edin Dzeko (Wolfsburg, £27m) 8/10 class in the bundesliga hopefully he is the same here,suprisingly city's only big signing..
Gai Assulin (Unattached) 7/10 good potential

Manchester United:
Anders Lindegaard (Aalesunds, £3.5m) 7/10

Newcastle United:
Hatem Ben Arfa (Marseille, £5.75m) 8/10
Stephen Ireland (Aston Villa, Loan) 8/10 good player but hasn't fit in at city or villa hopefully he does at the magpies

Stoke City:
Jermaine Pennant (Real Zaragoza, £1.725m rising to £2.8m) 7/10
John Carew (Aston Villa, Loan) 7/10

Sunderland:
Stephane Sessegnon (Paris St Germain, £6m) 7/10
Sulley Muntari (Inter Milan, Loan) 8/10

Tottenham Hotspur:
Bongani Khumalo (SuperSport United, £1.5m) ?/10
Steven Pienaar (Everton, £3m) 8/10 absolute steal,amazing player who's improving but will he fit in at Spurs?

West Bromwich Albion:
Carlos Vela (Arsenal, Loan) 8/10 West Brom were crying out for a good winger before this

West Ham United:
Gary O’Neil (Middlesbrough, £1.5m) ?/10
Wayne Bridge (Manchester C, Loan) 7/10 yes he is a good player but he has already made some sloppy mistakes for the hammers
Demba Ba (Hoffenheim, £500,000) ?/10
Robbie Keane (Tottenham, Loan) 7/10 good signing but won't be loyal after the blues fiasco
Paul McCallum (D Hamley, Undisclosed) ?/10

Wigan Athletic:
Adrian Lopez (Deportivo La Coruna, Free) ?/10
Connor Sammon (Kilmarnock, £600,000) ?/10

Wolverhampton Wanderers:
Adam Hammill (Barnsley, £500,000) 6/10
Jamie O’Hara (Tottenham, Loan) 9/10 just what wolves needed will do well in midfield with henry
Adriano Basso (Unattached) ?/10
